look for a "music introspective" novella about to drop in the near/far future. 

basically, this dude, let's just call him he who must not be named, is writing a book about different peoples music taste by asking a select few folks to name their top 5 albums  and then expects all the people to sit down and listen to 'em, + have a conversation about it. Then of course, he plans to write a book about it. I'm pretty sure this has already been done...aka, 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, a music reference book edited by Robert Dimery (2006). So basically, I hollered at my friend Thom and we collaborated on a list of the 5 shittiest albums we could think of in roughly 5 minutes. The list goes as such:

1. Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American
   
2. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - The Effects of 333
   
3. Akon - Freedom 
   
4. Braille - Box of Rhymes
   
5. The Flaming Lips - Zaireeka
   

& it just so happens that he who must not be named has asked me to co-write/photograph pictures for this lil' book of his. hella stoked. i cannot wait to see Thom's list of his top 5 albums... this book is gonna be so good. aka, it's not gonna happen. 

college life.

apparently, once a man enters college, he is able to transfer his cosmopolitan subscription strait to his dorm on campus. however, it costs $5 more, so Chris has his mom drop it off for him monthly. i caught him gettin his cosmo on today, and he is not worried about it.

Animal Collective -- FALL BE KIND

i am listening to the new animal collective ep, Fall Be Kind, at this very moment. as my hands sloppily type this, i am sitting here feeling rejuvenated and as happy as an Eastern German during the fall of the Berlin Wall.  i do not know what to do with myself, it's so beautiful-- i am starting to develop happy tears that are now resting upon my lower lashes. luckily, i am sporting waterproof mascara today.

my ears have not been this content in a grip. thank you, thank you, thank you so much. i do not know what else to say.

Eating Us

this week i was assigned an album/movie cover re-creation project in photography. of course, i went straight to black moth super rainbow's discography and chose one to my liking. Eating Us, in my opinion, is one of the most solid albums of '09, and bmsr's album art continues to be extraordinarily innovation and abstract. therefore, i chose to recreate this image, using a basic two light set up, 2 friends, and a shit ton of photoshop filters, and voila! my work here is done.

halloweiner recap

halloween 2009 was quite eventful, more or less. twas definitely a year for firsts. i experienced my first pumpkin carving party (although i cannot say i contributed much). regardless of my failed efforts, i had a fantastic time, here are the goods:

On a higher note, my bffff Emma Kelly and I had the opportunity to rock the flyest costumes on the market this halloween season, courtesy of Kam "BT" Stahlman & Ce "33" Tidler. I do not believe there is a single word in the english dictionary that can define how fabulous we looked, so i suppose i will just let the following photographs speak for me.

overall, i'd say it was the most successful/beneficial/every positive adjective in Encarta Halloweiner yet. To many more, my friends

best show of my adolescent life

 been liss'nin to 'em a lot lately + just now realized that i have yet to brag about their show i saw a couple months back. 

 as of l8lee, tobacco's The Allegheny White Fish Tapes, a stellar collection of unreleased tracks from 1996-99,  is helping me slowly recover from my Easting Us obsession.
